ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
The current artist, Chloe Heights, is a visual teaching artist who is working with the kids to create a series of drawing based in nature that incorporate observation, prospective, attention to detail and other valuable drawing/art skills.
In every class, students are creating four different drawings of bugs, flowers, leaves and other natural items. The students have had an engaging and detailed series of art lessons that gives them the opportunity to explore drawing throughout five educational sessions. Each child will build a book and these will be on display and ready to take home at STEAM Night 3/13.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
IN THE LIBRARY
3/11 - 3/14
Do you need books for your upcoming Spring Break Trips? Something to read at home for stay-cations or in the car or on the plane? It is that time of year again! Book Fair Time!
This year the Book Fair will take place during the school week inside our very own library! Students who have library Monday-Thursday will visit the book fair during their library class. The book fair is also open before school at 7:45, during lunch recess (morning recess for 5th grade). The book fair will also be open during STEAM night on Wednesday, March 13th for parents and families.
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings kids the books they want to read. We'll receive a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level, and all purchases benefit our school library!
Reading for pleasure inside and outside of school has real and long-lasting benefits. Please come to our book fair and help shape your child's reading habits.
See you at the book fair!

eWALLET AT THE BOOK FAIR
**NEW THIS YEAR**
eWallet is a great new way for students to pay at the book fair! Your child shops the book fair cash-free, spending up to the limit you set. It is also a new way to provide funds for your, teacher, or anyone in the Dorothy Fox community! eWallet is available NOW through our fair website (http://www.scholastic.com/bf/dorothyfoxbookfair).
Simply create an account for the student or staff member you’d like to gift with funds, print their fold-able card (optional), and present it to them. Recipients can shop for books up to the amount designated by you (your card will only be charged for the amount they actually spend). Did your student forget their card? No problem—we can look them up at the fair!
Thank you for supporting our readers and our library by shopping our book fair.
